One of my favorite places to shop in the whole world is called the Curator of Cool in Baldwinsville, NY. She doesn’t keep regular store hours, but is available by appointment and is generally open most weekends. We stop by there 2-3 times a month and buy something most every time. I can’t believe how much great mid-century stuff she finds on a regular basis (even in the winter). She also gets items from other decades as well, but specializes in mid-century vintage. In fact, our McDougall set came from there.
I just had to get this hamper above even though I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it, and then it hit me. I’m always complaining that I don’t have a good place for the bottles and cans so that is what I will use it for. I used a 13-gallon bag to line the inside and used some painter’s tape to hold it in place. What makes this hamper unusual is the drawer at the top. I’m using that for rolls of tin foil, plastic wrap and wax paper.
This hamper is perfect to display the new set of Ransburg canisters that hubby gave me for my birthday earlier this month. I haven’t decided what to store inside the canisters yet. Any ideas? Do you have canisters that you store unusual items in?
